Points of Interest

1. •The purpose of the Lighthouse is  to express God s love for people with developmental disabilities by meeting their spiritual, emotional, physical, social and intellectual needs through a group home and related services.
   

1. •Visitors are encouraged to tour the facility and get to know our residents.  The Lighthouse also welcomes anyone interested in volunteering to call the home for more information!
   

1. •As a faith-based organization, we do not receive state or federal funding.  Our operating costs cannot be met by our residents and their families alone.  Their continued quality care is dependent upon the financial gifts of individuals and organizations. 
   

Our Mission

Lighthouse Christian Home & Services is an interdenominational, non-profit organization committed to providing life-long care for adults with developmental disabilities in the name of Christ.  Through a family-oriented environment, residential and work activities and the transforming power of Christ, our mission is to serve one another in a spirit of Christian love.

About DD

A developmental disability is a severe chronic disability that is caused by a mental or physical impairment or a combination of both. A developmental disability is a natural part of the human experience that does not diminish the right of  individuals with special needs to live independently, to exert control and choice over their own lives and to fully take part in and continue to contribute to their communities through full integration and inclusion in the economic, social, cultural, and educational mainstream of our society.
